Founded in 1988 in Fullerton, California as Arch-Rite®, Inc. by framing contractor Mike Barry, the company has grown by leaps and bounds. Mr. Barry conceived the product as a solution to the many problems he experienced in building archways and ceilings on job sites. They have patented several applications and are known throughout Southern California as the benchmark for framing archways and ceilings.
In 2004, Arch-Rite® expanded nationally in the United States via a series of licensed manufacturers. Archways & Ceilings Made Easy (ACME) is the largest manufacturer of this patented line of curved surfaces outside of Southern California. With over one million installations to-date, our products can be found in tens of thousands of homes across the United States; from starter homes, mid-range to the above average and the most elaborate custom built homes in the USA today.
Economically priced and easy to install, it’s not surprising that 30% of products shipping out of our plant today are destined for the mid-range and modular home market. Affordable elegance is the best way to describe the change in our market.
In 2010, ACME of Arlington, Texas signed an exclusive arrangement with Kurt Neufeld and Kristopher Willett as Archways & Ceilings Inc., Canada to sell the ACME product line nationally. While ACME had started in California back in 1988, their expansion had never brought them to Canada. Quite literally, they were afraid of the French language issues and were mistakenly under the impression that all printed material had to be English/French in the Canadian market place.
ACC opened its’ doors in Lethbridge, Alberta in 2010 with moderate, word-of-mouth success. It was January of 2011 when the company was restructured and an extensive sales & marketing strategy was conceived and implemented. By the spring of 2011 ACC will have put in place a minimum of twenty sales professionals across the country. Their task is simply to introduce the ACC product line to every builder, renovator, lumber retailer and architect in the country. There will be a team of individuals put in place to participate in every industry trade show, every public Home Show to build product awareness from both ends of the spectrum: the builders and the home buyers.
The ACC Mission Statement
We believe our first responsibility is to provide the best service possible to our clients across Canada. Our products and services are intended to help people grow their businesses as we change the landscape of Canadian Home Construction and the expectations of home buyers coast to coast.
As a company we will work hard for our customers; we will represent ourselves and our business in both a professional and personable manner. The business will be managed with stability and growth in mind. There will be a passion to truly change the way homes are built in Canada.
Our most valuable asset is not our product or services provided, not the patents that are held, not the inventory in our warehouse, but the people who make up our company. We will strive as a company to improve their person and their quality of life. In life, how people perceive our actions, how they think of us, how they remember us, both as people and as a company, these realities will be our heritage.
