Planning: This department provides advice on permitted land use and is responsible for a wide range of community issues including: housing, heritage, environment, transportation and social policy.
Engineering: This department is responsible for the design of roads, bridges, tunnels, sidewalks, bike paths and underground utility distribution or collection systems including but not limited to: sanitary sewers, storm sewers and water supply (domestic & fire).
Building: This department is responsible for administration and enforcement of building code and related codes including but not limited to: building permits, plumbing permits, blasting permits, demolition permits, fireplace and wood stove permits.
